Health Advocates at Senator Liz Krueger’s Older Adult Resource Fair
Health Advocates was proud to be out in the community on October 28, sharing information about our free programs and services at Senator Liz Krueger’s Older Adult Resource Fair at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. Representing our organization were longtime volunteer Anne Purdy and Healthy Aging Program Coordinator Kelly Mill. Together, they greeted attendees, offered program details, and answered questions about the wide range of activities and support we provide—everything from home safety consultations and wellness classes to social activities.
It was wonderful to meet prospective participants and even better to see so many familiar faces from our community. Events like this underscore how strong and connected our network of older New Yorkers truly is. We heard firsthand how meaningful our programs are for helping people stay active, independent, and engaged—and we welcomed interest from attendees eager to join our classes and services.
The fair also gave us the opportunity to connect with partner organizations serving older adults, including Search & Care, LiveOn NY, and the New York Public Library. Collaboration is essential to ensuring our community members have access to needed resources. We were grateful to share ideas and strengthen relationships with peers who are just as dedicated to supporting healthy aging.
