Cornerstone Society

For over 35 years, Health Advocates for Older People has helped seniors live independently in New York City. To celebrate this milestone, the Cornerstone Society was established to assure our organization thrives in the future. The Cornerstone Society aims to provide a steady and sustainable financial resource for the organization to continue its existing programs and introduce new ones. More specifically, this platform allows supporters of Health Advocates to provide funds to the organization now and in future years through planned giving initiatives.

We hope you will join us in building a strong financial foundation for the future. By doing so you will enable us to sustain programs that promote independent living at home, wellness and exercise classes, educational presentations, intellectual stimulation activities and social programs. Health Advocates’ mission is to promote healthy aging and to provide the growing elderly population in New York City and their family members, caregivers and concerned friends with the tools, techniques and support to age with vitality and independence.

There are several ways for you to participate in the Cornerstone Society.

Direct Gifts: Make an outright gift of cash or securities.

Planned Gifts: Create a “Charitable Lead Trust” or a “Charitable Remainder Trust” naming Health Advocates as the beneficiary. These trusts can be structured in numerous ways to make gifts to the organization either now or later, as well as provide income for you and your heirs.

Bequests: Name Health Advocates as a beneficiary in your will by specifying a gift of a dollar amount or percentage of your assets or make Health Advocate a beneficiary of your IRA, qualified Retirement Plan or life insurance Policy.
